CATALONIA NATIONAL ART MUSEUM IN BARCELONA OF SPAIN
Barcelona offers one of the greatest museums in the world and one of that is the Catalonia National Art Museum, also famous for its architecture. Opened in 1934 at the same location as today, but was closed during the Spanish Civil War
Different sections of the National Art Museum displays the
re-interpretation of different European trends produced in Catalonia, evident in the characteristic sub-styles of Italianate Gothic, Linear Gothic, International Gothic (Flemish Gothic) and a counterpoint of non-Catalan works, containing works of art from the 10th to the 20th century.
There are many great destinations to find in Barcelona including theMontjuic Communications Tower, about five minutes walk from the museum, The Sagrada Familia, considered as one of the most famous architectures in the world, but you will need to ride taxi of you wanna get there. The Barcelona National Art Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and on Sundays and holidays from 10 am to 2:30 pm. The museum is closed every Monday. The Palau Nacional offers free admission once per month, on the first Sunday of each month. Visitors under 16 or over 65 are also admitted to the museum for free.

It also carries a wild range of art styles from Romanesque and Gothic through Renaissance and Baroque to 19th and 20th century arts. The museum opened in 1995, with the Romanesque art section while the Gothic art section was opened in 1997, and the Renaissance, Baroque, 19th century and 20th century collections opened in 2000. The official opening, with the building completely rehabilitated and all the collections in place, was in 2004.
