The top tourist attractions in Algeria are ancient and wide spread.  Algeria is an exotic destination for travel. The extraordinary blend of Arab and Berber cultures distinguish it from other countries in North Africa. However, Algeria is the largest African country so travelling from one city to another expensive and time-consuming. The monument is located in Algiers and commemorates the Algerian Independence War. It has a unique architecture which makes it easily stand out.  The monument shelters an Eternal Flame and was designed after palm leaves. On top of these leaves are statues of soldiers, symbolizing Algerians’ struggles in the war.

It is the epitome of Spanish and French culture in Algeria. You can view the Santa Cruz Mountains from here or visit the ancient church located nearby.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the top tourist attractions in Algeria. It is located in Ghardaia Wilaya. The valley has a number of traditional Algerian settlements like ksour of Bou Noura. Nearby, you will find ancient mosques, walled villages, and a watchtower.

Built in 1082, the mosque boasts a rare Almoravid architecture. As majestic as it is from the outside, its interiors are even more elaborate.

2. Timgad
The colonial Roman town is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Algeria’s top tourist spots. You will find many historical buildings here including Trajan’s Arch, Capitoline Temple, the basilica, library, and thermae.
1. Djemila
The mountain village has several arches, basilicas, temples, and theatres reminiscent of the old times in Algeria. It is located in north Algiers.
